A:  The Private Registration service is not available for .AT, .BE, .CA, .DE, .EU, .GD, .NZ, .PL, .TC, .TW, .US, .NYC, .SYDNEY and .VG domain name registrations because the registration policies of the associated Registries require that the registrant's contact information be listed in WHOIS.

Specifically regarding .US domain names, the United States Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) completed its review of anonymous domain registration services by .US Accredited Registrars. At the conclusion of the review, NTIA directed NeuStar to phase out the offering of such services by Registrars or by any of its partners or resellers.

While we do not agree with this mandate, Network Solutions complies and no longer offers the Private Registration service for .US domain name registrations.
